Todos somos instrumentos de salvación a través y con Nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Cuando venimos a Jesús buscar y orar por él para interceder por nosotros, para tener algún tipo de influencia en nuestras vidas que nos eleva por encima de la oscuridad que tan a menudo nos envuelve, algo maravilloso sucede. En realidad nos convertimos en un faro de luz y esperanza para todos los que nos rodean. Cuando aceptamos a Jesucristo en nuestros corazones que somos capaces de expresar ese amor que Él tiene para nosotros. Esta expresión es a menudo algo que estamos totalmente conscientes de. La presencia de Jesucristo en nuestras vidas tiene la capacidad de cambiar nosotros de muchas maneras; algunas de estas formas en las que habrá inconsciente. Nuestros pensamientos y acciones se verán influenciadas mientras se cambiará todo nuestro proceso de pensamiento. Cristo siempre nos está formando y moldeando más allá de todas nuestras expectativas.

Somos ejemplares de la fe. Es a través de nosotros que Cristo vuelve a configurar toda su creación. Qué visión hermosa puede ser esto. Dondequiera que estemos en nuestras vidas, lo que decimos y hacemos las cosas más allá de nosotros mismos y podemos influir en todos aquellos que nos ponemos en contacto con. Como cristianos, todo el mundo realmente se parece a nosotros para la orientación y dirección. Sí, estamos miramos más de cerca como mucha gente va a cuestionar si no de hecho, practicamos lo que predicamos, por lo que hay una gran responsabilidad allí. Estamos animados, a través de nuestra fe, para comprender que la responsabilidad y la obligación tomar muy en serio. Todos somos mensajeros de la fe.

Jesús conoce a todos y cada uno de nosotros. Toda persona que nunca ha existido en la historia del mundo es conocido por Jesús. Su presencia es imposible de ignorar. Jesús nos dice en el Evangelio de hoy que nadie nos puede llevar a cabo de las manos de Dios. Estamos protegidos y apreciados ser sus hijos. Esta es una promesa que nunca se rompe. Tenemos que separarnos de este mundo con sus tentaciones y seduce a escuchar la voz de Jesús. Esto se puede lograr a través de la oración y la devoción. ¿Quién no quiere reconocer su Padre y recibir el consuelo y la protección necesaria para vivir una vida maravillosa unidos con Él?

Nosotros, como cristianos estamos destinados para la salvación de ser hijos de Dios. Esta es la promesa, pero la promesa sólo puede mantenerse si aceptamos lo que se ofrece. Ignorar todo lo demás y poner en primer lugar a Cristo. todo lo que se le animará a hacer otra cosa, sino que debe ser y será una lucha esperado. Al igual que con todas las luchas, la forma más fácil de superar que es mantenerse unidos con personas afines en la comunidad. Es por esto que nos reunimos para adorar, celebrar y compartir entre nosotros. Nunca se olvide de su comunidad. Es a través de la comunidad que todos tocan la vida de los demás y entonces se tocó por Jesucristo.

MY BROTHERS AND SISTERS,

Whatever circumstances we find ourselves in Jesus will be there is show us a path through it. We must remember that nothing is impossible with God. As Christians, we are encouraged to give everything over to God. There can be no compromise to this. If we truly believe that there is a God and He has an influence in our lives then we must surrender to Him. Through this act of surrendering, all that we encounter, all that we endure will come into perspective. God will guide us and He will crush anything that becomes an obstacle to our relationship with Him.

Jesus in the Gospel Reading today sends us a message: all of us have sinned and it is only through him that we can receive the forgiveness and love necessary for us to experience the joy of a relationship with him. We are all broken. We all are lost without Jesus in our lives. Many of us have wandered aimlessly for years while we tried to find the answer to joy in our lives. Yet, the answer has been in front of us all of time. We need to recognize that we are completely helpless to the snares and worldly allures that society offers us if we do not recognize who Jesus Christ is: Our Savior and Our Lord.

God has continuously made us a promise. He has never diverted from this and it continues today through the revelations of Sacred Scripture: He makes the way and provides everything that we need to achieve inexplicable joy and contentment. We do not need to wait until Final Judgment or some other allotted time. We can receive everything that we need, want, and desire right now. The only ones who want us to wait and procrastinate in this recognition of God and His love for us is Satan. The more time we take, the more time Satan has to create the cracks in our foundation of faith that will then lead to our demise.

Envision the woman accused of adultery lying before the feet of Jesus. She was thrown there by those who judged her for what she had done while ignoring their own sins. So quick are other people to judge and condemn. Meanwhile Jesus states the obvious: everyone is a sinner and is undeserving of redemption. It is only through the Love of Jesus Christ that we can all be forgiven and go forward to with him to repair our relationship with God. Everyone is equal in this respect. No one can claim to be above another in this respect. We all are Brothers and Sisters through and in Jesus Christ.

When we live our lives through and with the message of God there will be a fundamental change in the way that we perceive things. All the clutter and debris that has blurred our vision to the Path of Truth will be pushed aside. The Truth will be revealed and made known to us. As we progress towards the Easter Joy, bearing our crosses and walking with him to Calvary, we always need to keep in mind that with Jesus there will always be the Easter Joy beyond all of our pain and suffering. He will always be there

Cualquier circunstancia que nos encontramos en Jesús estará allí es nos muestran un camino a través de él. Hay que recordar que nada es imposible para Dios. Como cristianos, se nos anima a dar todo a Dios. No puede haber ningún compromiso a este. Si realmente creemos que hay un Dios y Él tiene una influencia en nuestras vidas entonces debemos renunciar a él. A través de este acto de rendición, todo lo que nos encontramos, todo lo que soportamos vendrán en perspectiva. Dios nos guía y él aplastará cualquier cosa que se convierte en un obstáculo para nuestra relación con él.

Jesús en el Evangelio de hoy nos envía un mensaje: todos hemos pecado y es sólo a través de lo que podemos recibir el perdón y el amor necesario para que podamos experimentar la alegría de una relación con él. Todos estamos rotos. Todos estamos perdidos sin Jesús en nuestras vidas. Muchos de nosotros hemos vagado sin rumbo durante años, mientras tratamos de encontrar la respuesta a la alegría en nuestras vidas. Sin embargo, la respuesta ha sido delante de todo el tiempo con nosotros. Tenemos que reconocer que estamos completamente indefensos a las trampas y encantos mundanos que la sociedad nos ofrece si no reconocemos que Jesucristo es: nuestro Salvador y Señor.

Dios nos ha hecho una promesa continua. Nunca se ha desviado de esto y que continúa en la actualidad a través de las revelaciones de la Sagrada Escritura: Se hace el camino y proporciona todo lo que necesitamos para alcanzar la alegría y la satisfacción inexplicable. No necesitamos esperar hasta el juicio final o algún otro tiempo asignado. Podemos recibir todo lo que necesitamos, queremos y deseamos en este momento. Los únicos que quieren que esperar y posponer las cosas en este reconocimiento de Dios y de su amor por nosotros es Satanás. Cuanto más tiempo se toma, más tiempo Satanás tiene que crear las grietas en nuestra base de fe que nos llevará a nuestra desaparición.
Imaginar a la mujer acusada de adulterio tumbado delante de los pies de Jesús. Ella fue arrojado allí por los que la juzgó por lo que había hecho sin tener en cuenta sus propios pecados. Así rápida son otras personas para juzgar y condenar. Mientras tanto Jesús declara lo obvio: todo el mundo es un pecador y no merece la redención. Es sólo a través del amor de Jesucristo que todos podemos ser perdonados y seguir adelante con él para reparar nuestra relación con Dios. Todos son iguales en este aspecto. Nadie puede pretender estar por encima de otro en este sentido. Todos somos hermanos y hermanas a través y en Jesucristo.

Cuando vivimos nuestras vidas a través y con el mensaje de Dios habrá un cambio fundamental en la forma en que percibimos las cosas. Todo el desorden y la suciedad que se haya desdibujado nuestra visión hacia el Camino de la Verdad serán dejados de lado. La verdad será revelada y nos dio a conocer. A medida que avanzamos hacia la alegría de Pascua, llevando nuestra cruz y caminar con él al Calvario, siempre hay que tener en cuenta que con Jesús siempre habrá la alegría de Pascua más allá de todo nuestro dolor y sufrimiento. Él siempre estará allí

My Brothers and Sisters,

  We are currently in the Year of Mercy as proclaimed by Our Holy Father. Here, we are encouraged to focus on the foundation of our faith. God is Love. And where there is Love there is forgiveness and where there is forgiveness there is mercy. None of these can be separated. All of God’s creation, the entire universe, was created out of an act of love. God’s love permeates through His creation. We, created in His image, stand at the pinnacle of Creation as a testament to that love. What did we do to deserve this? The answer would be absolutely nothing. God gave us life out of love. All around us the universe teems with life. It is constantly in motion in a glorious testament to our God. Everything is so interconnected in a beautifully choreographed dance. It is a wonderful sight to behold and experience. How wonderful it is to be invited into such a personable relationship with God.

With all this given to us, it is amazing how much we ignore Him. It is so easy to forget the presence of God as we become so wrapped up in the world around us. We become busy with so many demands on our time. There never seems to be enough hours in the day to complete the obligations that we have to insure stability in our families, relationships, and work. In the world sense, the American worker works the longest, hardest, and retires later than our counterparts throughout the industrialized world. If we feel tired, we should be. The last place a lot of people want to be is at church. Yet in reality it should be the first place anyone should want to be. I guess it could be said that that is pretty easy for me to say since I am ordained clergy and it is part of my job. But that is not the case. I came here invited to celebrate with all of you out of love for God. Pure and simple. And I imagine all of you came here for the exact same reason.

Religion is from the Latin word meaning relationship. We all gather together not only to worship our God but to enter into a dialog with Him like we do every day with all the other people we interact with. How do approach this relationship is indicative of how we approach all of our relationships in our lives. As long as God is central in our lives everything else will gradually fall into place. He needs to be the foundation and the strength that build everything else on. We cannot ignore the one who created us.

The Parable of the Lost Son gives us beautiful illustration of God’s Mercy and also offers forth a vision that most families can relate to. Rebellion and defiance happen naturally in every family. When children become of a certain age there is a propensity to spread their wings and exercise their free will; making their own decisions; struggling to free themselves from what they may see as controlling and domineering parents. Many times, this brings frustration and tension to all parties involved. Those of us who are parents are left with limited options; oftentimes waiting for that moment to catch them when they fall and comfort them when they return. God is our parent. He is Our Father. We are reminded that, in our own rebelliousness, we will indeed turn away from Him often and go about our own lives while ignoring His participation in our salvation story. It is only when we fully return to Him, broken and desperate, that we will experience true joy.

God is patient. God is kind. And yes, God is ever merciful. He wants to forgive us and make us whole. So, how do we experience God’s mercy? We don’t have to make a grievous mistake or experience a major crisis. All of us are on our own journey of faith and our relationship with God is unique in that manner. Not recognizing God is enough to leave us empty and unfulfilled. I think we all can remember a time when we just had that urge to tell someone that we love them. It is so easy to do but also so easily overlooked. Turning to God and telling Him that we love Him is the same thing: so easily done but so oftentimes overlooked. Love is a very very powerful emotion. Arguably it is the most powerful one since it led to our creation. It heals everything. Mercy is undeniably connected to love because, if there is no love, there is no mercy.

When we receive mercy and show mercy, there is an act of surrendering. It does leave us vulnerable but in a good way. I feel that if there was more vulnerability in the world then things would be a lot better. It is when we are vulnerable that we are more likely to take a moment and experience God. This is what Jesus Christ demonstrates through the Passion. During this Season of Lent, we are encouraged to meditate on the Crucified Christ, The Human Christ,  and join with him on his journey to Calvary. When we do this, we are more apt to give and receive mercy.
