It should be comforting to know that God is waiting for us to call out to him; to respond to his call for us to love him. It is that simple that it becomes so hard to accept in this life of ours where most solutions to problems present themselves as being complicated and overwhelming. We are indeed his children and with that we are invited to envelope ourselves with his fatherly love. When we do wrong and sin we can find ourselves paralyzed by guilt. We feel unworthy in the eyes of God and in the eyes of society. We become our most vocal critic and accuser. We can easily feel that we are being judged by everyone from our closest friends and family to a complete stranger walking down the street. In reality, that is a good thing. God does not want us to be overcome with this guilt but only to be aware that in some way we did wrong and need to repent because of our actions. He offers us this opportunity through the sacrifice of his son and a realization of our birthright being his children. We have been claimed by Christ and now are challenged to discern what that truly means.

Reflecting on the story of Sodom and Gomorrah the message of love and salvation can easily be lost in the example of God's punishment of the sinners who dwelt within the walls of those two cities. But God's message is clear: the innocent will be spared destruction. Who are the innocent? They represent all of us to come forward to repent and love God. Doing wrong and doing evil are choices which are offered to everyone. During the course of our lives we will be presented challenges daily in regards to this. The spiritual battle between Good and Evil rages within us constantly. Sodom and Gomorrah displays an example of where the spiritual battle has been completely lost and what happens eventually when God is completely rejected. There will always be those who have made that choice and embraced evil with a twisted sort of joy. There will be those who build their lives around sin and blind themselves to God's beautiful and wondrous creation.

We must not judge these individuals but must separate ourselves from them in order to let God shape us by his love. If we judge through our thoughts and actions then we will be susceptible to the same judgment and lack of mercy that we are tempted to impose. Paul explains in his letter to the Romans how the law itself represents a constant presence of sin. For it is through the law that we become conscious of sin which we are all susceptible to. It is through Jesus that the chains of sin are broken and we are offered mercy and love. All we have to do is ask. With that action of accepting Jesus Christ we are then resurrected with him; our sins and their consequences being left hanging on the cross. We are ushered into a new life. A life full of love and repentance.

A life with Jesus represents a constant state of renewal. We must keep our eyes transfixed on the Light of Christ so that we do not stumble off the trail of salvation into the darkness. This takes a commitment on our part to reflect on our behavior and actions. We have to want to do better in order to do better. We must be critical of ourselves, seek forgiveness, know that we are forgiven, and then better ourselves. As Christians, this should happen every day. We cry out to God and he will answer. There will be those who will need our help and there will be those who will be willing to help us. It becomes a shared experience.

Jesus speaks about persistence and the value it has to us as Christians. Persistence represents a dedication to God and an understanding that he will indeed answer our prayers. It is a matter faith that we come to God knowing that he loves us and will give us what we ask. The gifts will be bountiful and benefits many. We have all tried to put our reliance on society and in humanity while ignoring God; I am sure all of us have stories in this respect. The choice becomes all the more clear. Do we come forward and seek God in our lives, looking for the light, or do we continue stumbling in the darkness?

Debe ser reconfortante saber que Dios está esperando que nosotros llamamos a él, para responder a su llamado para que podamos amarlo. Es tan simple que resulta tan difícil de aceptar en esta vida nuestra, donde la mayoría de las soluciones a los problemas se presentan como siendo complicada y abrumadora. Podemos sentir fácilmente que estamos siendo juzgados por todos de nuestros amigos más cercanos y familiares a un completo extraño caminando por la calle. En realidad, eso es una buena cosa. Dios no quiere que seamos vencidos con esta culpa, sino sólo ser conscientes de que de alguna manera lo hicimos mal y necesitamos arrepentirnos por nuestras acciones. Él nos ofrece esta oportunidad a través del sacrificio de su hijo y la realización de nuestro derecho de nacimiento de ser sus hijos. Hemos reclamado por Cristo y ahora tienen el reto de discernir lo que significa realmente.
Reflexionando sobre la historia de Sodoma y Gomorra, el mensaje de amor y salvación se puede perder fácilmente en el ejemplo de castigo de los pecadores que habitaba dentro de las paredes de las dos ciudades de Dios. No debemos juzgar a estas personas, sino que debemos separarnos de ellos con el fin de permitir que Dios nos forman por su amor. Si juzgamos a través de nuestros pensamientos y acciones entonces seremos susceptibles a la misma sentencia y la falta de misericordia que nos sentimos tentados a imponer. Pablo explica en su carta a los romanos cómo la propia ley representa una constante presencia del pecado. Solamente por medio de la ley, que es el conocimiento del pecado que todos somos susceptibles a. Es a través de Jesús de que las cadenas del pecado se rompen y se nos ofrece misericordia y amor. Todo lo que tenemos que hacer es preguntar. Con la acción de aceptar a Jesucristo entonces estamos resucitados con él, nuestros pecados y sus consecuencias se dejaron colgado en la cruz. Nos acompañaron a una nueva vida. Una vida llena de amor y arrepentimiento.
Una vida con Jesús representa un estado constante de renovación. Debemos mantener nuestros ojos fijos en la luz de Cristo, para que no tropecemos en el sendero de la salvación en la oscuridad. Esto requiere un compromiso de nuestra parte para reflexionar sobre nuestro comportamiento y acciones. Tenemos que querer hacerlo mejor con el fin de hacerlo mejor. Debemos ser críticos con nosotros mismos, buscar el perdón, sabemos que hemos sido perdonados, y mejorar nosotros mismos. Como cristianos, esto sucede todos los días. Clamamos a Dios y le contestaremos. Habrá aquellos que necesitan nuestra ayuda y habrá quienes estarán dispuestos a ayudarnos. Se convierte en una experiencia compartida.

Turning to God in a time of need and crisis is a wonderful thing. We must always remember that to enjoy our faith and relationship with God we must unify our suffering to the Crucified Christ. To be a Christian means that we will suffer and be persecuted for our beliefs. We do not fit into the mold of society and what we say and do will, at times, go against the expectations and what is accepted in the world today. We will be ridiculed, insulted, laughed at, and criticized constantly. This can occur either blatantly or subtlety through the media, schools, and other resources at the disposal of those who have refused to embrace the message of Jesus Christ. But there is another part of our relationship with God that can easily be ignored yet can be the most rewarding part. That is the every day relationship formulated by his presence throughout this Creation of his and his presence with us. God is with us always, and because of that, he can be taken for granted.

We are God's children and he loves everyone. There are no favorites in this area. Each of us have been blessed with the Gift of Life and the ability to partake in everything around us. Society constantly threatens to blur this and belittle the importance of this fact. We have been made stewards of his creation here on this earth and have be given the free will to progress forward to partake in its excellence. God wants us to be happy, appreciative, and fulfilled in this experience. Because of our fallen nature there is always the danger that in our living of our life we will be swept up in demands of living while not actually living. Society has created a blueprint of living that is different then that of God's. Subconsciously, Society's Plan can replace God's and we can find ourselves striving to be happy instead of just being happy with God. God does not want us to try to be happy. He just wants us to be happy. He loves us and wants us to know this. Just knowing God loves us and we reacting to this by loving him should bring happiness. We are invited constantly to live our lives while loving him. Everything else has the ability to fall into place after this transformation happens.

Every day the sun rises. We can expect this. It is one of the most basic and natural events that occurs. We have become so used to it that we have placed it in the background of our consciousness. Usually, we will find ourselves getting up and either getting ready for work or preparing for the way. Immediately a wave of thoughts rush through our brain. These thoughts are centered around what we have to do for the day. There is a mental list of obligations, duties, and tasks to complete. A certain routine takes over as we attempt to organize our actions. There is always a level of anxiety involved that revolves around the more challenging aspects of our life. We become robotic. There is work to do and we must accomplish it. Something has already become lost. The sun rose. The sunrise was beautiful, breathtaking, and wonderful. The birds heralded its coming hours before and sang praises to God. The world came alive and we awoke from our slumber. Yet, we failed to smile and thank God for such an enormous gift. A new day had begun and we were a part of it!

We should meditate on the interaction of Mary and Martha with Jesus. Yes, Martha, there will always be work to do. It is unavoidable. There will be demands, work, food to prepare, and things to do. But there is also God. We can do all this work without loving God but what does that bring? It brings more work, more challenges, and more things to do. Take a moment to contemplate. Isn't it always better to do things with someone we love? Doesn't it become easier and more enjoyable doing anything with friends, family, and those we hold so dear in our lives? Isn't it comforting to know that whatever challenges we may face there is someone who loves us and we can run to for help. This person is God. We are encouraged to become like Mary and immerse ourselves in the love of God. Through prayer and acknowledging him we will be able to feel his presence. There is a peacefulness that can surround us with the workings of the Holy Spirit. The door is there. We just have to walk through it.

Paul suffered throughout his ministry. He worked hard to evangelize the faith and bring the Living Word of Our Lord Jesus Christ to so many people. He had a job to do yet he did it with Christ. He welcomed the challenges and celebrated his suffering. We are asked to do the same. Everything we say and everything that we do can be done in the Name of Our Lord Jesus Christ. No job is menial. No task is unimportant. Everything becomes important if it is done with our God. We cannot separate ourselves from God and selectively invite him in when we want him. We must join with him in everything that we do. We must be constantly washing his feet and anointing his head with oil. When we do this, the Sun will rise in a most glorious way.

En cuanto a Dios en un momento de necesidad y crisis es una cosa maravillosa. Siempre debemos recordar que para disfrutar de nuestra fe y relación con Dios debemos unificar nuestro sufrimiento al Cristo Crucificado. Ser cristiano significa que vamos a sufrir y ser perseguidos por nuestras creencias. Nosotros no encajamos en el molde de la sociedad y lo que decimos y hacemos a, a veces, ir en contra de las expectativas y lo que es aceptado en el mundo de hoy. Vamos a ser ridiculizado, insultado, reímos y criticamos constantemente. Esto puede ocurrir ya sea abiertamente o sutileza a través de los medios de comunicación, escuelas, y otros recursos a disposición de aquellos que se han negado a aceptar el mensaje de Jesucristo. Pero hay otra parte de nuestra relación con Dios, que se puede ignorar fácilmente pero puede ser la parte más gratificante. Esta es la relación de todos los días formulado por su presencia en esta Creación de su y su presencia entre nosotros. Dios está siempre con nosotros, y debido a eso, se puede dar por sentado.

Somos hijos de Dios y ama a todos. No hay favoritos en esta zona. Cada uno de nosotros hemos sido bendecidos con el don de la vida y la posibilidad de participar en todo lo que nos rodea. Sociedad constantemente amenaza con empañar esto y menospreciar la importancia de este hecho. Se nos ha hecho mayordomos de su creación aquí en la tierra y tendrá que prestar la libre voluntad de avanzar hacia adelante a participar en su excelencia. Dios quiere que seamos felices, agradecidos, y realizados en esta experiencia. Debido a nuestra naturaleza caída, siempre existe el peligro de que en nuestra vida de nuestra vida vamos a ser arrastrado por exigencias de la vida, mientras que en realidad no viven. La sociedad ha creado un modelo de vida que es diferente a la de Dios. Inconscientemente, el Plan de la Sociedad puede reemplazar a Dios y podemos encontrarnos a nosotros mismos tratando de ser feliz en lugar de ser feliz con Dios. Dios no quiere que tratemos de ser felices. Él sólo quiere que seamos felices. Él nos ama y quiere que sepamos esto. Las aves anunciaron sus próximas horas antes y cantaron alabanzas a Dios. El mundo volvió a la vida y nos despertó de nuestro sueño. Sin embargo, no hemos podido sonreír y agradecer a Dios por un enorme regalo. Un nuevo día había comenzado y que formaban parte de ella!

Debemos meditar sobre la interacción de Marta y María con Jesús. Sí, Martha, siempre habrá trabajo por hacer. Es inevitable. Habrá demandas, trabajo, alimentos para preparar y cosas que hacer. Pero también hay Dios. Podemos hacer todo este trabajo sin amar a Dios, pero, ¿qué llevar? Lleva más trabajo, más retos y más cosas que hacer. Tómese un momento para contemplar. ¿No es siempre mejor que hacer las cosas con alguien que amamos? ¿No se convierten en más fácil y más agradable hacer algo con sus amigos, la familia y los que tanto valoramos en nuestras vidas? ¿No es reconfortante saber que cualquier reto que enfrentemos hay alguien que nos ama y que podemos correr en busca de ayuda. Esta persona es Dios. Se nos anima a ser como María y sumergirnos en el amor de Dios. A través de la oración y lo que reconoce que será capaz de sentir su presencia. Hay una paz que nos pueden rodear las obras del Espíritu Santo. La puerta está ahí. Sólo tenemos que caminar a través de él.

Pablo sufrió a lo largo de su ministerio. Trabajó duro para evangelizar la fe y la Palabra viva de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo a tanta gente. Tenía un trabajo que hacer pero lo hizo con Cristo. Dio la bienvenida a los retos y celebró su sufrimiento. Se nos pide que hagan lo mismo. Todo lo que decimos y hacemos todo lo que se puede hacer en el nombre de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo. Ningún trabajo es de baja categoría. Ninguna tarea es importante. Todo se vuelve importante si se hace con nuestro Dios. No podemos separarnos de Dios e invitarlo selectivamente en cuando lo queremos. Debemos unirnos con él en todo lo que hacemos. Debemos estar constantemente lavando sus pies y la unción con la cabeza con aceite. Cuando hacemos esto, el Sol se levantará de la manera más gloriosa.

I was honored to be a part of two different celebrations this week. One was very unexpected while the other one required much planning and consideration. I received a phone call from a husband and wife who experienced a tragic loss eight months ago. Their eldest son who was seventeen years old died in a car crash and their younger one was severely injured. Because of the condition of their younger son, there wasn't really any time to mourn and now they had decided to bury his ashes and have a memorial at their house. To plan this memorial, they opened their house to me and invited me over to dinner. What I experienced was most unexpected and strengthened my own faith and love in Jesus Christ.

When I sat down at table with the husband and wife, my heart immediately went out to them. They shared intimate family moments with me about their sons and their family. The father, who was an engineer, said he had faith but did not go to church regularly. Before the accident, he explained that he oftentimes questioned the existence of God and regularly spent time study the religions of the world. It had become a hobby of his. He saw religion as a part of the human condition and cultures that developed over time. The family had a comfortable life and insured that their children lacked for nothing. There was a good relationship with the grandparents and everyone within the family felt that their life was perfect.

Then tragedy struck. Their oldest son was taken from them and their youngest suffered from a severe brain injury. Their life appeared to be shattered. The family was devastated. I cried along with the parents as they told me the details of the story and how the accident affected them all. Me being a parent and envisioning one of my own children be taken from me caused me me to relate with this family tremendously. Having them actually share with me these personal feelings and stories drew me closer to them. The presence of God's Love could be felt in the room.

The husband then started to explain to me how the accident transformed his faith. He told me that a tragedy such as this might of easily made him hate God or believe that there was no God. But instead, he said that he definitely believes that there is a God and that God loves him, his family, and most particularly his son. He said that he knew without a doubt that his son was with God and was happy. He now realizes the most important things in his life and he wants to explore his relationship with God deeper. The wife feels the same way. She talks to her son every day and knows that he is with them all and watches over them.

I performed the committal this week and the memorial at their home where their were over 100 people in attendance. There were stories, tears, and laughter as everyone shared embarrassing moments and memories. I thanked the family profusely for welcoming to their home and allowing me to participate in such a beautiful event. The family was a demonstration of Jesus Christ working in the world today. Through so much pain and sadness there was also a profound joy and a realization that love of children, family, and friends were the most important things in life. It became a demonstration of God's eternal love for us. The entire interaction over those past few days strengthened my own faith and love. It also made me realize all the more how important God was to me.

After the memorial service, I needed to rush to a restaurant for my daughter's wedding shower. This was an event that my wife was preparing for over a period of several months. To me, it was a big headache and a financial disaster. I felt that I did not realize the importance of it until that day after the memorial service. It taught me that whatever I do in this life, whatever achievements I think I have accomplished, the love and celebrations that families and friends have together are the most important things because they become an expression of love and hope. Watching my family laugh, sing, and dance lifted all the heavy burdens that I tended to weigh down on myself.

I felt a great love for my family and I was so proud of all of them. I felt guilty for taking them all for granted and I felt bad for the times when I maybe let them all down. I am not a perfect husband or father, this I know, yet it was times like these that God tended to remind all of us of the truly important things in life. It is truly all about love. Nothing can ever replace the love we have for our families, friends, and God. If there was no love then whatever is done would be fruitless.

There is a challenge before all of us that we must realize. In our lives we all have the capacity of love and realize the importance of love. If we ignore it, than our relationship with God will never be complete. If we take love for granted, then we cannot fully enjoy God's Creation and our place in it. It takes genuine acts of love and charity to express and enjoy our faith. With love, everything else will fall into place. Without it, we would be lost.

Tuve el honor de ser parte de dos celebraciones diferentes esta semana. Uno de ellos fue muy inesperado mientras que el otro requiere mucha planificación y consideración. Recibí una llamada telefónica de un esposo y una esposa que experimentó una pérdida trágica hace ocho meses. Su hijo mayor, que tenía diecisiete años de edad murió en un accidente de coche y su más joven resultó gravemente herido. Debido a la condición de su hijo menor, no había realmente ningún tiempo para llorar y ahora había decidido enterrar sus cenizas y tiene un monumento en su casa. Para planificar este memorial, abrieron su casa y me invitó a cenar. Lo que experimenté fue de lo más inesperado y fortaleció mi fe y amor en Cristo Jesús.

Cuando me senté a la mesa con el marido y la esposa, mi corazón se dirigió inmediatamente a ellos. Compartieron momentos íntimos de la familia conmigo acerca de sus hijos y su familia. El padre, que era ingeniero, dijo que no tenía fe, pero no fue a la iglesia con regularidad. Antes del accidente, explicó que muchas veces en duda la existencia de Dios y solía pasar tiempo de estudio de las religiones del mundo. Se había convertido en un hobby de su. Vio a la religión como una parte de la condición y de las culturas que se desarrollaron en el tiempo humano. La familia tenía una vida cómoda y aseguró que sus hijos no tenían para nada. Había una buena relación con los abuelos y todo el mundo en la familia sintieron que su vida era perfecta.

Luego llegó la tragedia. Su hijo mayor fue tomado de ellos y su más joven sufría de una lesión cerebral grave. Su vida parecía estar roto. La familia estaba devastada. Lloré junto con los padres, ya que me dijeron que los detalles de la historia y cómo el accidente afectó a todos. Yo siendo un padre, de divisar uno de mis propios hijos tomarse de mí me causó que me relacione con esta familia enormemente. Tenerlos en realidad comparten conmigo estos sentimientos personales y las historias que me atrajo más cerca de ellos. La presencia del amor de Dios se puede sentir en el ambiente.

El marido entonces empezó a explicarme cómo el accidente transformó su fe. Me dijo que una tragedia como esta tu fuerza fácilmente le hizo odiar a Dios o creer que Dios no existía. Pero en cambio, dijo que sin duda cree que hay un Dios y que Dios lo ama, su familia, y muy especialmente a su hijo. Él dijo que él sabía sin duda que su hijo estaba con Dios y era feliz. Ahora se da cuenta de las cosas más importantes en su vida y quiere explorar su relación con Dios más profunda. La mujer se siente de la misma manera. Ella habla con su hijo todos los días y sabe que él está con todos ellos y vela por ellos.

He realizado el compromiso de esta semana y el monumento a su casa, donde su eran más de 100 personas que asistieron. Había historias, lágrimas, risas y como todos los momentos y recuerdos vergonzosos compartidos. Di las gracias a la familia profusamente por la bienvenida a su casa y me permiten participar en un evento tan hermoso. La familia era una manifestación de Jesucristo de trabajo en el mundo de hoy. A través de tanto dolor y tristeza había también una alegría profunda y la comprensión de que el amor de los niños, la familia y los amigos fueron las cosas más importantes en la vida. Se convirtió en una demostración de amor eterno de Dios para nosotros. Toda la interacción durante esos últimos días fortaleció mi fe y amor. También me hizo darme cuenta aún más la importancia de Dios era para mí.

Después del funeral, que tenía que correr a un restaurante para la fiesta de la boda de mi hija. Este fue un evento que mi esposa estaba preparando durante más de un período de varios meses. Para mí, fue un gran dolor de cabeza y un desastre financiero. Sentí que no me doy cuenta de la importancia de la misma hasta el día después del funeral. Me enseñó que todo lo que hago en esta vida, lo logros que creo que he logrado, el amor y celebraciones que las familias y amigos tienen en conjunto son las cosas más importantes porque se convierten en una expresión de amor y esperanza. Ver a mi familia ríen, cantan y bailan todos levantaron la pesada carga que tendía a pesar sobre mí mismo.

Sentía un gran amor por mi familia y yo estaba tan orgulloso de todos ellos. Me sentía culpable por tener a todos ellos por supuesto y me sentí mal por los momentos en los que tal vez les dejo todo. Yo no soy un esposo o padre perfecto, yo lo sé, sin embargo, era momentos como estos que Dios tiende a recordar a todos nosotros de las cosas verdaderamente importantes en la vida. Es realmente todo sobre el amor. Nada puede reemplazar el amor que sentimos por nuestras familias, amigos, y Dios. Si no hay amor entonces todo lo que se hace sería infructuosa.

Hay un reto que todos nosotros que debemos darnos cuenta. En nuestras vidas, todos tenemos la capacidad de amor y nos damos cuenta de la importancia del amor. Si lo ignoramos, de nuestra relación con Dios nunca será completa. Si tenemos amor por sentado, entonces no podemos disfrutar plenamente de la Creación de Dios y de nuestro lugar en él. Toma actos genuinos de amor y caridad para expresar y disfrutar de nuestra fe. Con amor, todo lo demás caerá en su lugar. Sin ella, estaríamos perdidos.

GOD IS LOVE

Over the past week we heard about the death of two priests, one in Egypt and one in Syria. Each were murdered for one reason: they were Christians and gave their lives over to Our Lord Jesus Christ. There was little or no coverage in the news regarding these events. These holy men died in the most horrific way yet there was no outrage, condemnation, or mourning. Their lives were dismissed without a passing thought from the world. The way the events were covered demonstrates the state of the world today and how this society is desensitized regarding world events. We must fully understand that Christians are being persecuted every day because of their faith. Entire families are being assaulted and murdered just because they have a desire to worship God. Churches are being systematically burned and religious communities are being uprooted with the intent of ending Christianity in certain regions. Yet, there is no effort to end this blatant violence and upheaval.

We can take solace in the fact that persecution has always been a part of our faith. To be fully united with the Crucified Christ we must suffer each day with Christ. We are comforted by the knowledge that he died for the entire world so that we could obtain eternal life. When we encounter pain and suffering in our daily lives we are encouraged to reflect on the Passion of the Lord. Christ's ordeal becomes our own model to live by. God loves us so much that he wishes to share in our suffering. He feels everything that we feel and he is with us through it all.

There is a lot of suffering in the world today perpetuated by our fallen nature. There will never be an end to all the violence and strife until Jesus Christ returns and his kingdom is brought to perfection. We as Christians are called to action to rise above the culture of violence and debauchery that is present and keep focused on the love of God and our salvation. We must live separately from the allures and temptations that society offers us and be an example for others to follow. Where there is hate, we must teach love. Where there is anger, we must show friendship. Where there is suffering, we must promote charity. This must be done while keeping our Christian identity. By doing this, we have the ability to become Christ-like and transform not only ourselves but all those that we come in contact with.

With everything that is happening in the world today we cannot become discouraged. World events and things that are occurring in our personal lives must all serve as tools to focus ourselves on what is really important: the love of God and the love that we share for our friends, families, and all those suffering around the world. Society teaches us to become bitter and angry when we are confronted with obstacles. Jesus teaches us to embrace all the negative aspects of the world and surrender to him. We need to be beg him to love us all the more so we can overcome what we are confronted with and continue our journey of faith. It is possible to overcome all adversity and enjoy God's creation for what it is: beautiful. Each one of us is important and God wants to know us intimately. There will be failures and disappointments but there will also be successes and celebration. It is hard to ignore all the good and focus on the bad. Yes there is a lot of bad but there is definitely a greater amount of good. It must be remembered that to enjoy the good we must always keep in mind the ultimate good which is God.

As long as we keep God in our lives everything will be wonderful. God will never abandon us and he will always love us.

GOD IS LOVE

Durante la semana pasada nos enteramos de la muerte de dos sacerdotes, uno en Egipto y otro en Siria. Cada fueron asesinados por una razón: eran cristianos y dieron sus vidas al Señor Jesucristo. Había poca o ninguna cobertura en las noticias con respecto a estos eventos. Estos santos varones murieron de la manera más horrible aún no había indignación, condena o luto. Sus vidas fueron despedidos sin un pensamiento pasajero del mundo. La forma en que los eventos fueron cubiertos demuestra el estado del mundo de hoy y cómo esta sociedad es insensible respecto a los acontecimientos mundiales. Debemos comprender que los cristianos están siendo perseguidos todos los días a causa de su fe. Familias enteras están siendo asaltado y asesinado sólo porque tienen un deseo de adorar a Dios. Las iglesias están siendo quemados sistemáticamente y las comunidades religiosas están siendo arrancados con la intención de acabar con el cristianismo en algunas regiones. Sin embargo, no hay un esfuerzo para poner fin a esta flagrante violencia y la agitación.

Podemos tomar consuelo en el hecho de que la persecución siempre ha sido parte de nuestra fe. Para estar completamente unidos con Cristo crucificado debemos sufrir cada día con Cristo. Nos consuela saber que él murió por el mundo entero para que podamos alcanzar la vida eterna. Cuando nos encontramos con el dolor y el sufrimiento en nuestra vida cotidiana se nos anima a reflexionar sobre la Pasión del Señor. Calvario de Cristo se convierte en nuestro propio modelo para vivir. Dios nos ama tanto que desea compartir en nuestro sufrimiento. Siente todo lo que sentimos y él está con nosotros en medio de todo.

Hay una gran cantidad de sufrimiento en el mundo de hoy perpetuada por nuestra naturaleza caída. Nunca habrá un fin a toda la violencia y la lucha hasta que regrese Jesucristo y su reino es llevado a la perfección. Nosotros, como cristianos estamos llamados a la acción para superar la cultura de la violencia y la corrupción que está presente y mantenerse enfocado en el amor de Dios y nuestra salvación. Debemos vivir por separado de los encantos y las tentaciones que nos ofrece la sociedad y ser un ejemplo a seguir por otros. Donde hay odio, debemos enseñar el amor. Donde hay ira, debemos demostrar la amistad. Donde hay sufrimiento, debemos promover la caridad. Esto debe hacerse manteniendo nuestra identidad cristiana. De esta manera, tenemos la capacidad de convertirse como Cristo y transformar no sólo nosotros, sino todos los que entramos en contacto con.

Con todo lo que está sucediendo en el mundo de hoy no podemos desanimarnos. Los acontecimientos del mundo y las cosas que están ocurriendo en nuestra vida personal, todos deben servir como herramientas para enfocarnos en lo que es realmente importante: el amor de Dios y el amor que compartimos para nuestros amigos, familias y todos los que sufren en todo el mundo. La sociedad nos enseña a ser amargado y enojado cuando nos enfrentamos con obstáculos. Jesús nos enseña a abrazar todos los aspectos negativos del mundo y entregarse a él. Necesitamos pedirle que nos aman tanto más podemos superar lo que nos enfrentamos y continuar nuestro camino de fe. Es posible superar todas las adversidades y disfrutar de la creación de Dios como lo que es: hermosa. Cada uno de nosotros es importante y que Dios nos quiere conocer íntimamente. Habrá fracasos y decepciones, pero también habrá éxitos y celebración. Es difícil hacer caso omiso de todo lo bueno y centrarse en lo malo. Sí, hay un montón de malo, pero definitivamente hay una mayor cantidad de bien. Hay que recordar que para disfrutar de lo bueno que siempre hay que tener en cuenta el bien último que es Dios.

Mientras seguimos a Dios en nuestra vida todo va a ser maravilloso. Dios nunca nos abandona y siempre nos amará.
